So encouraged to hear the heart of a Military active duty Mother...Heather shared a tender insight into all areas God was providing for her, thru her mothers example, her sisters and faithful friends to equip her to be the best she could be..as a wife/mother and soldier.
It also gave me hope & insight on how my stay at home motherhood as a military wife would affect my own career daughter...
God bless your husband your daughter and those whom you lead ...Thank you for your example.

I couldn't agree more with this article. Many Christian couples don't pray together and wonder "what is missing" in their relationship. Spiritual intimacy is one of the most neglected areas of marriage and we as a nation are paying for it. THanks for writing this article...

The Lord led me to this particular web page today and had a word for me in it. A word of confirmation, of hope and affirmation. We may never meet this side of glory, but your faithfulness to Him on the day you wrote this "rippled" out to another one of God's children today and the ripples will continue. Thank you.

My husband and I were able to attend a marriage retreat "FireProof" before the movie came out. It was awesome and very moving. We each got the Love Dare book and applied it to our marriage. What a difference it made. It not only changed the way we work together now, it changed our marriage for the better. I cannot say enough about the book or the movie. I encourage everyone regardless if you are with your spouse or they are deployed, to read and do what the Love Dare book say's to do. Even if it does'nt seem like it is working at the beginning, give it time and don't give up. It will change you and your spouse when you least expect it and what a reward it will be. Get a copy of the movie and watch it together or send it to your spouse, but watch it. You may find that what is in the movie is just what is in your life as well. This is my Dare to all who read my comment, but don't stop there. Keep going and find the treasures that God intend's for your marriage. It's truely one of a kind!

Thanks Vanessa!
That's exactly what I needed to hear tonight as we face our first Christmas apart. God is SO very faithful and he is the lover of my soul. What more do I NEED? Just that perspective. THanks for your good words. :)

Thank you so much for this website! I am very blessed by it. I recently rededicated my life to Christ and my husband will be deploying for the first time in just a few more weeks. I am so looking forward to beginning The Dare and and praying that my husband will come to know Jesus Christ as his personal savior. Thank you again!

Great post, great site. Keep up the good work.

I have a copy of that book, too. There are fewer and fewer couples celebrating their 50th these days. I think these couples have realized their vulnerability traveling the road of marriage. Seems so many couples today either ignore the warning signs on the marriage road, or avoid the road altogether.

Keep up the great work of encouraging couples to travel the road wisely.
