Life is messy. People are messed-up. And it doesn’t take too many things to go wrong before we can really feel like we’re in a horrible mess. That’s because we live in a broken world. As military serving around the world and at home, you know that probably better than anybody. Ever since Adam and Eve and that fateful choice in The Garden (Genesis 3), the relationships between God and man, man and man, and man and this earth have been broken. But there’s hope, and His name is Jesus.
Preparing Your Heart for Christmas
Excellent or Praiseworthy is posted on Monday and Thursday nights.
Then the seventh angel sounded; and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, ‘The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever.’” — Revelation 11:15
Perhaps it’s difficult to get in the “mood” for Christmas this year. Perhaps deployment has distracted you from the “feeling” that usually comes with preparing for Christmas.
That’s understandable. And perhaps we can help. Because there’s nothing better to help you focus on the real meaning of Christmas than worshipful singing and solid biblical preaching.
Here is a favorite rendition of “O Holy Night”. . . enjoy!
And nothing tops Dr. S.M. Lockridge’s preaching on “That’s My King”. After all, not only did Jesus come to earth on that Holy Night as Savior. . . .but He came to reign in our hearts as King!
Do you know Him? Don’t let this Christmas go by without understanding it’s real meaning—God coming to earth as Savior and as King! Then, and only then will any circumstances of this year fade in comparison to the greatness of this gift of Jesus, Emanuel, Christ, King.

Questions to Share:
1. What Christmases do you remember as a child? Why were they special to you?
2. Ask your spouse how you can pray for them this Christmas during deployment.
